Yes, I know it's been a while since my last post. We've been on Spring Break here and although I so wish I could say we spent several days on a nice warm sandy beach, where I did nothing but read by the ocean with a tropical drink in hand....I cannot. Nope, we've been here at home in Northeast Ohio enduring the last remnants of snow and winter with a mix of rain.
And if that isn't bad enough...I've been painting and remodeling to boot! And just why is it when you paint one room it just leads into another room...and another...and another?? We started in the bathroom and now we're painting my bedroom then of course, the hall is looking rather drab and each of my two boys now want their room a different color. Needless to say, I just haven't had time for much reading...but a new reading chair is in the works for my bedroom (As Virginia would call it, a "room of my own"!) Hopefully, I'll get back on track this coming week. I've got a pile of books that arrived in the mail this past week and I can't wait to share them with you!
It is funny how one thing leads to another in home remodeling. We decided we wanted new carpet, so we had to paint first, but if we were going to paint we should really get new windows, and if we were going to get new windows.... So we did the windows, the painting, new trim, new doors, and the carpet, and now since we did the windows the outside of the house looks like crap so we are doing a new roof, gutters, and siding....sigh.....good luck with your painting.
